The Australian Basketball Players’ Association (ABPA) has engaged with the NBL on the performance of the court decals and their maintenance by stadium management.

The ABPA raised safety concerns regarding the court decals at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre following the first game of the NBL 2021 Season.

It is our understanding that the stadium management took action following game 1 to make improvements to the maintenance and performance of the court decals which meet the requisite FIBA requirements.

Following Friday night’s game in Adelaide, the ABPA is requiring further action be taken to ensure all necessary and appropriate measures are employed to protect our members’ safety.

Player safety is the ABPA’s highest priority and our members must be provided a safe workplace environment at every game.
